FreeAdvance Care Planning Workshop – Community Event
Advance care planning involves planning for your future health care. It enables you to make some decisions now about the health care you would or would not like to receive if you were to become seriously ill and unable to communicate your preferences or make treatment decisions.
Advance care planning helps to ensure your loved ones and health providers know what matters most to you and respect your treatment preferences.
Join us on Thursday 8th August for this workshop for the Northern Sydney and Northern Beaches community with morning tea provided, on Dying to Know Day.
10am to 12pm
The workshop will be facilitated by Kelly Arthurs (North Narrabeen Member) and local Nurse Practitioner.
Learning topics cover:
- What is Advance Care Planning and why it is so important to discuss?
- What are the most important aspects to consider with Advance Care Planning
- Q&A with a local special guest
- Opportunity to reflect, have a conversation, and commence your own Advance Care Planning journey
- What to do next?
This FREE workshop is for all community members of the Northern Beaches and Northern Sydney community.
