Nillumbik Shire Council has partnered with Banksia Palliative Care to host a Dying To Know Day event in August.
Dying to Know Day is an annual campaign that empowers all adult Australians to be strong self-advocates for their own personal planning.
No-one likes to talk about dying but forward planning means we can choose to die in a way that reflects ourselves and our values, while leaving our loved ones with a lot less to deal with.
At this event Banksia Palliative Care will present on topics such as:
- Options for future planning
- End-of-life care
- Support for families
- How to embrace death as a part of life
This event will empower you to take steps towards leaving a loving legacy for those you care about and who care for you and will inform you to have those tough conversations with family and loved ones.
Light refreshments provided.
