Painting Workshop – Part Two

Join us for our painting workshop where Paola will demonstrate how to finish your painting of the Platypus that you started in Workshop One. This can be done with acrylics, pastels or even fine crayons.

About the Presenter – Paola Matthews

Paola is an emerging artist, based in Manly on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Paola is self-taught and proficient in both pastels and acrylics. She enjoys bringing movement to canvas and her favourite subjects are animals (especially soulful horses), musicians in the midst of playing, and wind or moving water. Paola’s vision is to entice the audience to feel the movement and allow it to resonate within.

Paola has been exhibited for a charity initiative that partnered with the United Nations Association of Australia and has also exhibited in local establishments. Paola was also commissioned by SBS for two portrait paintings, which were then exhibited for a series on “Inspirational Women”. One of Paola’s paintings was chosen for “Cabaret in the Glen”, the art exhibition in 2017.
