Val loves all kinds of books – from historical fiction\, to fantasy\, to modern realist books. \nA major part of Val’s life at the moment is Curly Community Garden\, a garden she’s been heavily involved with since its inception in 2016. Her favourite part of the garden is the way it brings together so many people from the community and gives joy to many peoples’ lives – from garden members to passers by. \nVal loves walking\, and you can often see her on her favourite walking routes between Dee Why and Freshwater. She also likes to explore other parts of the great outdoors on family outings with her two adult children and husband. \nAt home\, Val and her family love to play board and card games\, and have a huge collection that takes up a few shelves of their storage closet!
