This is not a formal support group or therapy session. We will be conducting a tour of the site itself\, discussing the process of water cremation\, as well as the steps involved from when someone dies through to the registration of that death\, and staff from Alluvium will be present to\, as always\, answer any questions or queries around our own offering to Tasmanian families. \nSome light refreshments will be provided. The objective is to engage in interesting\, thought-provoking and life-affirming conversations. It is not a counselling or bereavement session\, rather an opportunity “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives”. This Death Cafe is being held in Victoria Point\, Queensland Australia and facilitated by End of Life Doula & Funeral Celebrant\, Jacqui Williams (Founder of End of Life Transitions). \nYou have the opportunity to purchase your own refreshments at the venue. Go to back deck of venue to find Jacqui and others. Street carparking available \nBring your curiosity. Share your questions and experiences. And be part of a growing death-positive community movement that wants to make people more death-comfortable and death-literate.Free to attend community event.
