DESCRIPTION:Join local end-of-life doulas for an open and supportive discussion on life\, loss\, death and dying. \nFree to attend. SUMMARY:'Nobody Knows' :: End-of-life convo for Dying to Know Day 2025
DESCRIPTION:Dying to Know Day :: Friday 8th August :: 10:30am-12pm \n\n\nJoin us for a conversation at Radius Art\, for an open and curious exploration about end-of-life matters. Dying to Know Day is a national campaign that encourages you to prepare for the inevitable\, not with fear\, but with purpose\, love\, and a sense of legacy. \nThe theme of this year’s Dying to Know Day (D2KD) is ‘Nobody Knows’. This will be a lightly facilitated discussion\, where we’ll share stories and hear different perspectives. Together we will chat about end-of-life wishes and how we can collectively speak more courageously about death and grief. \nPlease bring a small donation for the venue hire \n\nThis conversation is a safe space for First Nations mob\, queer folk and people with disabilities. If there is anything you specifically require to attend on the day – please contact me directly (contact details in post).

SUMMARY:Let’s Talk About Death and Dying - Mornington Peninsula
DESCRIPTION:Let’s talk about death and dying. \nDying to Know Day is offering our community the chance to have a conversation about death and dying in a sensitive and safe environment. Dying to Know Day is a public health campaign that aims to reduce the stigma around death and inspire individuals to be better prepared to support others and to consider and to take action on end-of-life planning. \nTo coincide with National Dying to Know Day on 8 August\, Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Dying to Know Network will be hosting an event. The network is a group of dedicated community representatives who have been working alongside our Positive Ageing Officer to plan an educational event for our community. \nDying to Know Day will feature information and resources\, guest speakers\, activities\, and opportunities to ask questions. \nJoin us to: \n\nLearn about the care that can be provided to a person who is dying and their families and loved ones.\nPick up resources about grief\, advance care planning\, funerals\, wills and more.\nUnderstand why the effects of bereavement and loss can be so complicated and long lasting.\nReflect on what truly matters to you at the end of your life.\n\n  \nDying to Know Day – Mornington Peninsula \n8 August 2024 \n10am to 12.30pm \nPeninsula Community Theatre \n91 Wilsons Road\, Mornington \n  \nFor more information and to register your attendance https://mornpen.vic.gov.au/dyingtoknow \n
