SUMMARY:Interactive End-of-Life Planning Workshop in Subiaco
DESCRIPTION:Join Karin Ulrich\, an End of Life Doula\, for an interactive workshop on end-of-life planning\, legacy and what matters most. \n\n\n\n\nDying to Know Day is a national initiative that encourages Australians to have meaningful conversations about end-of-life planning\, legacy and what matters most to them. \nWhile death is a part of life\, many people find it difficult to discuss their wishes with family and loved ones. This workshop provides a welcoming and respectful environment to explore these important topics\, learn about available options\, and consider how planning ahead can support both ourselves and those we care about. \nThrough a guided and interactive exercise\, participants will reflect on their personal experiences of loss\, change and grief. Using storytelling and a life timeline activity\, attendees will explore key life stages and consider how these experiences have influenced their values\, perspectives and understanding of life’s journey. \nThis session is designed to encourage thoughtful conversation\, personal reflection and greater confidence in discussing end-of-life matters.

DESCRIPTION:Exploring End-of-Life Choices\, Care and What Matters Most is a free event hosted by the Compassionate Care Collective\, designed as a gentle and practical space where people can simply listen\, gather information\, ask questions if they wish\, and begin thinking about end-of-life matters before a crisis occurs. \nThis is for anyone who wants to feel more informed\, prepared and supported around end-of-life matters. You might be planning for yourself\, caring for someone else\, supporting a loved one\, working or volunteering in community care\, or simply curious about what choices and supports are available locally. \nShanna Provost will facilitate a panel conversation with people who bring lived and professional experience in end-of-life care\, along with optional smaller conversations\, practical activities and useful information to take home. \nPanel members include representatives from Palliative Care NSW\, local end of life doula networks\, end of life home care guides\, and natural burial practitioners. \nYou are welcome to take part in the way that feels right for you — listen quietly\, ask a question\, browse flyers\, visit stallholders or join a conversation. \nBookings requested for planning purposes. Thanks to Proveda who have supported with grant funding.
