SUMMARY:Northern Beaches Death Café
DESCRIPTION:Over a cup of tea or coffee\, with a bite to eat please join us to have a conversation about death and dying – in a safe\, supported environment. \nDeath comes to us all\, yet how many people struggle to talk about it or to share their experiences? How many people find that if they do wish to talk about death\, they are dismissed? \nAt a Death Cafe people\, often strangers\, gather to eat cake\, drink tea and discuss death. \nOur objective is ‘to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives’. \nA Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda\, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session. \nNumbers are limited so booking is necessary. To ensure this event is available for all with no barrier we keep the event free and the Cafe is available for refreshments.
