DESCRIPTION:Help Create Connection\, Belonging and Lasting Friendships \n\nThrough the Belong Club Welcome Dinner Program\, we will bring newly arrived migrants\, older local residents and people experiencing social isolation together over shared meals\, culture and conversation. As a facilitator\, you’ll play an important role in helping people feel welcomed\, included and connected from the moment they arrive. \nThis is a wonderful opportunity to develop valuable facilitation and communication skills while helping build a more connected and inclusive community. \nTraining will cover: \n\nThe Welcome Dinner model and philosophy\nCreating welcoming and inclusive environments\nFacilitating conversations and connections\nCultural awareness and inclusion\nSupporting people experiencing social isolation\nPractical facilitation techniques\nSafety and participant wellbeing\nPathways into Belong Club\n\nNo previous facilitation experience is required. We’re looking for warm\, friendly people who enjoy connecting with others and helping people feel like they belong. \nLimited Places Available\nWe have received an overwhelming amount of interest in this opportunity\, which is fantastic to see. \nTo ensure a quality learning experience\, training places are limited to 18 participants. \nPlaces will be allocated on a first registered\, first served basis\, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible if you would like to be considered. \nOnce all 18 places have been filled\, additional registrations will be placed on a waitlist.
