A Death Cafe is an invitation to get together to explore how anything relating to Death and Dying might be ‘understood differently’ … more naturally. An opportunity to share, become informed and provide food-for-thought for planning for one’s own death, in a relaxing atmosphere – with coffee & snacks!
The objective is of a Death Cafe is ‘to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives’.
A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
