What Types of Services Can You Get Under Support at Home?

Support at Home 2025 Guide: Services for Customers and Carers  

The new Support at Home program is set to begin from 1 November 2025, one of the biggest questions we’re seeing from customers is: “What services will I be able to get?” 

If you’re already receiving services, don’t worry, you won’t lose them! Your care will transition into the new program. The services you receive will depend on your eligibility and on a case-by-case basis, but here is a rundown of the services available under the new program:

1. Clinical Care: 

  • Physiotherapy 
  • Podiatry 
  • Occupational therapy 
  • Speech therapy 
  • Dietetics and nutrition advice 
  • Nursing support (e.g. wound care, medication management) 
  • Monitoring of ongoing conditions 
  • Care after a hospital stay 
  1. Independence Support
  • Showering, bathing, and dressing 
  • Mobility support 
  • Help with eating or taking medications 
  • Mobility aids (walkers, rails, ramps) 
  • Personal alarms or monitoring devices 
  • Communication tools (such as tablets for telehealth) 
  • Home modifications for safety 
  1. Everyday Living Support
  • Cleaning and laundry 
  • Meal preparation and cooking 
  • Grocery shopping 
  • Gardening and home maintenance 
  • Transport to medical appointments 
  • Trips to the shops or community activities 
  • Support to join social groups and stay engaged with friends and family
