Join us at our FREE Death Cafe on Friday 23rd August, 2024 from 12.15pm-1.15pm.
Enjoy coffee and snacks while having conversations about death, dying, and end of life planning in the friendly surrounds of Ballarat City Library’s Co-Lab space.
The purpose of our Death Cafe is to encourage our community to talk openly about mortality and end-of-life matters. Discussing death is not always easy, but it can enhance our appreciation for life and ensure we are more equipped to fulfil a loved one’s last wishes.
Our Death Cafe will be facilitated by Sally Kennedy. Sally is a member of Ballarat Cemeteries’ Community Advisory Committee and Director and Founder of Dearly Plaques & Memorials, a business providing innovative solutions to cemeteries and memorial parks across Australia and recently into the USA. She is passionate about the cemetery industry she finds herself in and is a member and sponsor of all Cemetery and Crematorium associations across Australia.
No bookings are required for this event.
This event is being held as part of a larger event supported by Grampians Regional Palliative Care Team, Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council, Ballarat Cemeteries, Western Victoria Primary Health Network, Ballarat Cemeteries, Ballarat & Grampians Community Legal Service, Grampians Region Palliative Care Consortium, Ballarat Hospice Care Inc, City of Ballarat, and Grampians Integrated Cancer Service.
