Cancelled – Caring for each other at end of life
Join the Compassionate Connector Program!
During 2026 we will be rolling out a unique end of life volunteer program in the Hornsby area. We are one year into the Program with some volunteers (called Compassionate Connectors) already on the Northern Beaches. The program builds on a model from Western Australia with promising evidence of its’ benefits.
Join this interactive information session to find out more about this Program that helps us live at home, well connected and in our communities for longer.
In this session, we will also introduce the concept Compassionate Communities and ask ourselves questions such as:
- How important is it to care for one another as we get older?
- How can social and informal support better compliment medical care?
- Is it rewarding to be helpful?
- What is each one of our roles in this and how would you like to be involved?
This session is for anyone interested in having a conversation about things that support us to live well in the end. There is no pressure to join the Program.
When: Wednesday February 18th 2026, 10.30AM – Noon
Where: Hornsby Library
When we are socially connected, we are happier, physically healthier and live longer. Come along, bring a friend and lets start the conversation on this meaningful topic.
When you register, please share if there is anything in particular you are curious to understand more about.
Unable to attend on this date? Check out our website for information on additional information sessions and training opportunities:
