Dying to Know Day – Maitland Dungog Palliative Care Service

The day is about coming together to talk about death and dying to reduce fear and stigma around death. Conversations with key people in your life will ensure we live and die well.

Planning for our future can help us to die in line with our values and ensure that loved ones know what’s important to us.

We want to create a safe space for discussions around death and dying and connect individuals with a community who they can identify with as they start to think about what matters most to them.

We invite you to attend to connect, learn and share insights about the support we offer individuals and families, and foster greater awareness of palliative care within your communities.

The day would be about meeting our dedicated medical and support staff, learning about our service and how we can support quality of life, exploring how we can work together to support your community and open discussions about cultural perspectives on death and dying.
