Sewing Hearts, Sharing Kindness
Stitching Hearts of Kindness
Join us each week for a relaxing and meaningful sewing circle as we create beautiful handmade hearts from the inspiring social enterprise, 1000 Hearts.
Led by our wonderful volunteer Fiona, this welcoming group will teach participants how to hand sew felt hearts using a simple blanket stitch. No sewing experience is necessary. Whether you’re an experienced crafter or have never held a needle before, everyone is welcome.
As you stitch, you’ll be part of a movement that spreads kindness, compassion and connection throughout our community.
Once you’ve completed your hearts, you can:
- Keep them for yourself as a reminder of kindness and care
- Give them to a friend or family member who may need encouragement
- Donate them back to Belong Club for distribution to Proveda clients who may benefit from a small act of kindness

1000 Hearts is an Australian social enterprise and community dedicated to sharing kindness through handmade hearts. Founded by Sarah in 2016, the organisation was born from a simple idea: that small acts of love and connection can have a profound impact on people’s lives.

About our Volunteer
Fiona is a longtime resident of Pittwater. A retired Physiotherapist with a passion for all things Wellbeing. A cornerstone of wellbeing is social connection, gratitude, kindness and compassion. Sewing hearts with others is about connecting with kindness and compassion.
Fiona provides an opportunity to be present as an act of self care. The hearts are a symbol of compassionate care which ripples through the community.
