Let’s talk about death and Dying – A Dying to Know Day event

Dying To Know Day is a day of action to encourage open and honest conversations about death and dying in Australia.

All adults at all stages of life are welcome to attend this special panel event to learn about choices and planning for end-of-life.

Hear from our panel of experts on topics including hospice and palliative care, funeral planning, and celebrating life. Bring your questions and an open mind as we work to remove stigma and awkwardness, and move towards normalising conversations about death, dying, and grief.

Joining of panel are Dr Eric Fairbank, Professor Leeroy William, and Ms Emmalee Bell.

About Dr Eric Fairbank
Eric Fairbank is a retired palliative care physician, and is the author of The Manual for Living and Dying in Style.
As a volunteer for the Warrnambool and District Community Hospice he conducts monthly workshops on End of Life preparations at the Archie Graham Community Centre.

About Professor Leeroy William
Professor Leeroy William has been a palliative medicine specialist since 2009 and has worked in the UK, New
Zealand and Australia. He is the Head of Palliative Care at South West Healthcare, with academic positions at Deakin and La Trobe Universities. He is involved in clinical, educational, research, and leadership activities.
