The Essential Event – A conversation on death, dying and empowered end-of-life choices at Lilydale Memorial Park
GMCT in partnership with Yarra Ranges Council Healthy Ageing Team invite you in the lead up to Dying to Know Day for an informative conversation about death, dying and end of life choices, held in the peaceful surround of Lilydale Memorial Park.
Facilitated by Nicole Grundy, death doula and holistic funeral director, this session creates a supportive space to explore a topic many of us avoid but one that benefits from openness and honesty.
What to expect ?
So often, we find ourselves making decisions for ourselves or loved ones without having had the time or the conversation to truly understand what we want.
This session is designed to help you:
- Reflect on your end-of-life wishes
- Learn about available options and considerations
- Gain confidence to have open, honest conversations with those closest to you
- Understand what planning steps may be helpful
- Plan for death and after death care
Delivered in partnership with Yarra Ranges Council, Healthy Ageing, this event offers a gentle discussion focusing on knowledge sharing, connection and respectful conversation.
Following the session, you are invited to join an optional guided walk through part of Lilydale Memorial Park, where you’ll learn about the different types of memorial and resting place options available.
Please note: this event is not a grief circle, group therapy, or counselling session. If you’re unsure whether this event is right for you at this time, please reach out to us for guidance.
