Dying to Know Afternoon – Hobart
Dying to Know Day is a national initiative that encourages us to improve our death literacy by starting conversations that many of us avoid. Through this year’s campaign theme, “Nobody Knows – The Secret I’m Glad I Shared,” we’re reminded that talking openly about death, dying and grief can help us better support one another and reduce the uncertainty that often comes when important conversations are left unsaid.
To mark Dying to Know Day, Palliative Care Tasmania invites community members to join us for a relaxed coffee chat followed by a gentle walk along the Hobart Rivulet. This is not a formal support group or therapy session. Instead, it is a welcoming opportunity to connect with others and explore the conversations that can sometimes feel difficult to have.
If you’re not feeling up for the walk on the day, you’re welcome to join us just for a coffee. Whether you’d like to share your story, listen to others, or simply enjoy the companionship of those around you, you are warmly welcome.
Every conversation helps build a more compassionate community. We hope you’ll join us.
