H&I: Seasons for Growth Loss and Grief
The Seasons for Growth Loss and Grief
Seasons for Growth Loss and Grief is an innovative, evidence-based change, loss and grief education program developed by the McKillop Family Services. This workshop draws on the metaphor of the seasons to understand the experience of grief. It builds the knowledge and skills necessary to strengthen the social and emotional wellbeing of adults who are dealing with significant life changes by:
- Understanding what grief is
- Understanding grief reactions
- Exploring the impact of change and loss
- Learning about effective ways to respond and adapt to these changes
- How to empower your own strength to move forward
- The way forward, including useful strategies and support networks
Participants learn that they are not alone in their experience of change, loss and grief, and are able to build their communication, decision making and problem-solving skills within the context of a safe and supportive peer group learning environment.
Please note, due to the short timeframe that we will have together, we will not delve into personal grief. However, this is a safe space to explore and discuss grief and reactions more generally.
